Leipzig, August 22, 2018. With an expanded management team, SENEC is preparing for the future development of the market for decentralized energy solutions. The acquisition of the Cologne-based Solute Elektronik GmbH also gives the company additional valuable know-how in the development of hardware and software for storage-based energy solutions. This underscores SENEC’s claim to be the innovation leader in the growing market for electricity storage systems.

Since 1 August 2018, Jaron Schächter has strengthened the management of the Leipzig-based company, a 100% subsidiary of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. The 39-year-old has extensive experience as a company founder and CEO in the online economy. As an expert in digitalization and the success-oriented design of processes, Schächter complements the management board consisting of finance expert Thomas Augat and company founder Mathias Hammer. As the process of integrating SENEC into EnBW AG has largely been completed, Timo Sillober has left the management board and joined the newly created advisory board as chairman. In this position he will continue to provide advice to the company.

“Customers want holistic solutions for their self-determined energy supply,” says Jaron Schächter. “We look at the entire ecosystem of storage, power supply and electromobility and develop solutions from a single source. That’s where I see my essential role at SENEC. ”

Extended management

In order to be able to offer customers the best possible solutions, SENEC has strengthened its personnel and organizational focus in the key areas of competence and expanded its management. “Our success is based on continuous product innovations, the highest quality standards and energy-related know-how”, says Jaron Schächter. “That’s why we have appointed outstanding professionals in these areas to the management.”

As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Michael Otto is responsible for the development of hardware and software. The electrical engineer was most recently Managing Director of the Solute Elektronik GmbH in Cologne, which he founded. The company has been working with SENEC for a long time as a development partner. With Michael Otto comes the entire ten-member development team of Solute, bringing with them extensive experience in hardware and software development for well-known customers. The new SENEC employees will continue to work in Cologne.

For the area of production, logistics, quality and technical service, SENEC has appointed Ricardo Kopp to the extended management board. The engineer with many years of experience in the automotive supply industry has been responsible for these departments since the beginning of 2018 as Division Manager. His task is to continue to promote the exceptionally positive development of recent months in these areas in the interests of the customers.

The management is completed by Claus Fest as Head of Energy Management. Fest has many years of experience in the field of power supply and simultaneously heads the Product Management Division of the EnBW Energy Management. Thus, SENEC and EnBW emphasize that they contribute their specific expertise in the development and implementation of storage based energy solutions.
