Leipzig, 11. Mai 2022 –  Today’s home energy systems with PV systems and electricity storage are designed to use as much self-generated electricity as possible directly in the home throughout the year. To make self-supply even more flexible, system operators can feed surplus solar power into the SENEC.Cloud as virtual credit. This means that it can be used year-round at home or even at other consumption points as required, e.g. at a holiday flat or e-charging station during travel – to ensure customers become even more independent of rising electricity prices.

On sunny days, the faultlessly designed photovoltaic roof system generates more electricity than can be consumed in one day. In this part of the world, this is especially true for the months of May to October. First of all, surpluses that are not required for immediate consumption flow into the home storage system, such as the new SENEC.Home 4. When this is full and all consumers in and around the house are served, surplus electricity enters the public grid – or the SENEC.Cloud, where it is stored as virtual credit.

Once there, it can be used in the form of green electricity for domestic consumption during the nights or the less sunny months. Alternatively, it can also be used elsewhere: at an e-charging station, the children’s student apartment or a holiday cottage, for instance. With the SENEC.Cloud, self-sufficiency thus becomes much more flexible. Solar energy can be used all year round.

 

SENEC.Cloud additional packages – for a completely independent power supply

With the additional package SENEC.Cloud to go, users can also charge their e-car on the go with self-generated solar power – on the EnBW hypergrid at over 250,000 charging points in many European countries. Thanks to the EnBW mobility+ app for SENEC customers, the nearest charging point is displayed. At the charging points, you can conveniently pay with an app or charging card. Billing takes place automatically via the cloud contract.

SENEC.Cloud Family & Friends is a unique additional package that allows users to access their electricity credit from the cloud at up to two other consumption points in Germany. This means that self-generated electricity can also be used outside the home, shared with others or simply given away.

Anyone who has a heat pump, infrared heating or air conditioning system with a separate electricity meter can operate their devices with self-generated electricity via the additional SENEC.Cloud Heat package. In this way, homeowners are guaranteed an optimum living climate all year round on the basis of renewable energies.
