New version of the SENEC.app with additional functions
- More information on generation and consumption
- Improved overview thanks to new structure
- Simplified access to relevant documents
Leipzig, 6. September 2022 – To simplify mobile access and control of the SENEC.360 ecosystem, home storage system manufacturer SENEC has made its app more user-friendly and transparent, including various functional enhancements. The digital application for mobile phones and tablet PCs, which is available in app stores from mid-September, now offers direct access to documents as well as to consumption and system data. In this way, SENEC improves the transparency of electricity storage systems, PV systems, wallboxes and heat pumps, encouraging users not only to keep an eye on their own electricity consumption at all times, but also to optimise it.
User-oriented and easy-to-use digital applications are playing an increasingly important role in the energy transition currently taking place at a personal and societal level. The reason for this? The more frequent use of corresponding apps improves transparency regarding generation, consumption and the status of the systems and thus contributes to behavioural changes. These, in turn, ideally increase personal power consumption and thus improve the efficiency of the home energy supply.
The new SENEC.app gives users uninterrupted access to individual statistics and data on the generation and consumption of the components integrated within the SENEC ecosystem. In addition to the charging status of the electricity storage system and the photovoltaic system’s current generation stats, various control functions also feature: both the charging power and the charging mode of the SENEC.Wallbox can be adjusted, for instance.
New functions for more comfort and a clearer overview
The new functions provide greater detail and a more customised display. Not only does the update provide a comprehensive overview of the consumption of specific devices, but also translates them into the amount of euros saved (daily savings of electricity costs by the system) and the number of kilograms (CO2 emissions avoided), also giving a comparative figure of how many newly planted trees the emission savings equate to.
In addition, all relevant documents are now located centrally and can be downloaded directly from a single platform. As Tino Leonhardt, Senior Product Owner SENEC.App explains: “The new functions not only allow us to give customers the gift of transparency, but also full control over the solar power they produce themselves and use at home. In this way, we provide them with even more comprehensive support on their journey towards a personal energy transition.”
New functions of the SENEC.App:
- Monitor: faster overview by merging the pages “History” and “Statistics”.
- Documents: all personal documents can now be viewed or downloaded directly in the app. All system energy values are also available as a csv file via the new download function.
- System information: a new page summarising the system’s key technical aspects.
- Tutorial: a tutorial available directly in the SENEC.App explains the additional functions.
- Restructuring of the app interface and a new look for the app icon.
